Biography
Bruce Hawkins' research interests are beryllium energy levels, chaos, laser trapping and cooling, optical pumping and the physics of violins. He is currently working with Will Williams making high-precision measurements of the energy levels of beryllium.
Hawkins co-authored Classical Mechanics Simulations, which is part of the Consortium for Upper-Level Physics Software (CUPS) series, and collaborated on the poster “High Precision Spectroscopy of Neutral Beryllium,” Chui Yu Lau, Carson Patterson, Alisha Vira William B., Hawkins and Will Williams, for The Division of Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP) conference, Columbus, Ohio, June 2015.
