Craig Felton offers courses in Italian art (circa 1350-1700), and painting and sculpture in seventeenth-century Italy, Spain and France. He has published on seventeenth-century Italian and Spanish painting, with an emphasis on Naples, and is currently investigating the art and patronage of Catholic Europe (circa 1550-1650).
Professor Felton has taught at Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University, and was at the Kimbell Art Museum, where his research led to the first exhibition of paintings by the Hispano-Italian painter, Jusepe de Ribera.
