Biography
As assistant director of the Jacobson Center, Sara Eddy (she/they) hires, trains and supervises the Jacobson Center peer writing tutors; acts as managing editor for Smith Writes; and works with academic departments to improve their writing pedagogy through the Writing Enriched Curriculum program.
Sara has a doctorate in American literature from Tufts University, with a research focus on race in literature of the American West. She is author of two chapbooks of poetry: Tell the Bees (A3 Press, 2019) and Full Mouth (Finishing Line Press, 2020). She has published widely in print and web-based poetry journals, including Threepenny Review, the Baltimore Review, and South85, among others. She lives in Amherst and hikes in the mountains with her dog, Sully, every day.
