Biography
Born in Scotland, Annie Boutelle is the author of Thistle and Rose: A Study of Hugh MacDiarmid's Poetry and scholarly and popular articles on wide-ranging topics. Her new books are collections of poems: Becoming Bone is based on the life of 19th-century American poet Celia Thaxter; and Nest of Thistles, winner of the Samuel French Morse Poetry Prize, focuses on her Scottish childhood.
