Dear Faculty, Students and Staff:
Please join me on March 4 for a celebration of the successful culmination of our Women for the World campaign.
From open houses at our academic centers to student presentations and a special performance by actress, playwright and social commentator Anna Deavere Smith, the day will be a festive expression of our thanks to the donors and friends whose generosity will be felt for decades to come.
That is how much we raised during the campaign, breaking records and far exceeding our $450 million goal. Thanks to more than 37,000 donors from around the world, ours is the largest and most successful campaign of any women's college.
The campaign brought out the best in our community, exemplifying our collective commitment to educating women for leadership and ensuring that talented and ambitious women everywhere continue to have access to the most powerful form of liberal arts: a Smith education.
