What's one message you'd say to incoming students or one thing you'd tell them about being at Smith?
Don't be afraid to go to your professors' office hours. You don't need a million-dollar question to justify going. They want to meet and get to know you; they want to answer your questions. Just go and introduce yourself to all your professors at their office hours in the first week of classes to break the ice. Trust me, you'll be glad that you did.
Is there any other message you'd like to include to the wider Smith community?
In times of crisis, the right thing to do is rarely the easy thing to do. This is not the semester students, professors, staff or administrators imagined, not by a long shot, but it's the one we have. If we all do our best to adapt to this new normal and be patient with one another, we Smithies can still make this semester work for us while keeping our communities safe. See you on Zoom!
Smithie Snapshots is a new profile series highlighting members of the Smith community, located all over the world.
