Biography
Seamus Dwyer holds a bachelor’s degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Studies in Medieval Studies from the University of Oxford. He has taught a wide range of topics, including the literature of medieval labor, the formation of literary canons, and the modern high school experience. His research focuses on medieval manuscripts, paleography, and the material cultures of literature across Middle English, French, and Latin poetry, and he has published in the Review of English Studies. He is currently a PhD candidate at Yale University completing a dissertation on medieval scripts--the different handwriting conventions of scribes--and how they culturally, visually, and interpretively shape readings of the literature they preserve in manuscripts.
