Meadow Day!

April 2, 2021

Dear students:

As you know, April 6 and 7 had been designated as additional Mountain Days for the spring 2021 term to give you a break from your studies. During a recent meeting, house presidents suggested that we rename these two days “Meadow Day” to honor the spring. We have all learned so much this past year, including the need to adapt and maintain cherished traditions of all kinds. So let’s celebrate the spring, and its renewal of life, with a newly created two-day Meadow Day celebration!

The team in Student Affairs has been busy planning Meadow Day for you. It will feature special food from Dining Services; wellness tables with sleep kits and maps for hiking; yoga and meditation sessions; museum tours and poetry readings. And I will have Meadow Day T-shirts to give to each of you—stay tuned for details for on- and off-campus distribution.

The Meadow Day schedule will offer opportunities for rejuvenation, relaxation and connection. Think of it as a staycation.

I hope these two days will open your eyes to the beauty that surrounds us and the community that sustains us, no matter what the season.

Best,
Kathy
