Engineering major and first-generation college student Karena Garcia ’21 describes how Smith has changed her and her family. “My life moving forward will be different because of Smith,” she says. “It’s because of the education that I’m receiving, it’s because of the friends that I’m making, it’s because of the growth that I’m experiencing.”
