Reason #45 You Should Visit
The campus in autumn
Smith doesn't rely solely on grades and test scores to select new students; we choose people, not statistical profiles. Each Smith student has unique strengths and some weaknesses. The Admission Committee reads every part of your student's file and carefully considers their high school program, performance, experiences and potential for success at Smith.
Each part of the admission folder reveals another facet of your student's life. The admission essay shows how they think, write and what they care about. To add a personal dimension to the paper profile, we recommend interviewing with us. Our admission staff is here to answer any of your questions while selecting a college.
Smith's admission officers read in tandem and read geographically. They take a holistic view of each individual, and they also consider how to best shape the class. The following factors are considered in each application.
