The internal transfer process is designed to help achieve the college’s goal of offering employees the opportunity for development and career advancement through internal mobility. In alliance with this goal, Smith strives to promote and create leadership opportunities for Smith staff and to maintain excellence through diversity.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates include regular exempt, nonexempt, service and limited-term employees of the college, employed for 12 months or longer in their current position, with acceptable work performance (employees with documented performance concerns would not be eligible). Casual temporary and agency employees are not eligible as internal applicants.

How to Apply

Current internal Smith College employees should apply through the Career icon in Workday.

The Process

Each internal application will be reviewed for eligibility (job status, length of service, personnel issues) and minimum qualifications. Internal applications who are eligible and qualified will be forwarded to the hiring manager for review.
