Albright House

Albright House

Albright House is located on Bedford Terrace, right next to the Alumnae House. It was built in 1900.

Albright is only a half-block from a pharmacy and grocery store, where you can find anything from magic markers to ramen noodles. If you walk one more block, you're in the center of town.

The attractive red brick building has a front porch, where students like to lounge on warm days. Its residents are active participants in many Smith traditions, including Faculty Tea, the annual Senior Banquet and the Big Sib/Little Sib program. Albright House also has its own annual events, such as the "No Talent" Show, in which members of the house display their "talents." Performances have included palm reading, tunes on the nose flute and a reading of French poetry. The house also started two new traditions: an annual bowling competition with Baldwin House and a 1920s Casino Night theme for spring weekend—complete with poker, blackjack, craps and theme music.
